Together with Chef Joe Flamm of Rose Mary and BLVD (Day Off Group), we're pleased to present our first official chef collaboration. This dish was born as a re-creation of Joe's grandmother's Rigatoni and Meatballs while filming Season 15 of Top Chef. Under immense pressure, Joe reimagined the rigatoni dish of his childhood as a filled pasta stuffed with a meatball mixture and cooked in pomodoro. Joe suggested we re-create this dish with Gemma Foods' meatballs as the filling -- the beef and pork meatballs are braised in our marinara sauce and blended while hot, then cooled and formed into tortelli. The meatball infused marinara is the perfect accompaniment, displaying the harmony among these ingredients. This has all the feel of a Sunday Supper, but is meant to be enjoyed any day of the week.
A portion of each sale will be donated to Grocery Run Club, a 501(c)(3) benefitting underserved neighborhoods in Chicago with fresh produce and everyday necessities. Grocery Run Club has a sibling running group fostering health and community wellness.
